How To Qualify For Government Student Loans
To qualify for government student loans, you must be able to present your high school diploma or a certificate that you have finishes the General Education Development (GED) program and is now ready for higher education. Aside from your high school diploma or your GED certificate, you will need a proof from the college or university where you are currently enrolled. The certification must state that you are currently enrolled in a curriculum that will result to a degree or a certificate within a given period of time. To be eligible to apply for government student loans, you have to be a citizen of the United States of America and you must possess a valid social security number. For some types of government student loans programs, your parents will be required to present their income tax returns. Note that there are certain types of government student loans programs that are intended only for those students who cannot really afford to go to college. For these types of government student assistance programs, the proof of income of the parents shall be considered as one of the primary basis for granting the loan.
